Elizabeth, best known to all as "Liz", is the oldest and most challenging daughter of Coleman and Regina.

Growing up in this "Brahman" family was hard for her. She didn't like to get dirty and "cowboy" stuff just wasn't cool!

She attended Wharton High School and graduated in 1991. She was the athlete of the family, as well as the fashion statement! She did, however, manage to get her in the show ring a few times.

Liz with her cousins John and Caroline Owen.
In August of 1991, Liz packed up and headed to Lubbock, Texas to attend Texas Tech University. It was then that she realized just how "cool" it really was to be part of such an awesome Brahman family. She was an Agricultural Economics major, believe it or not. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, hence her minor degree was in parties and socializing. She graduated 1995 and from there she began her quest in applying for nursing school. In August she packed her things and headed back to God's country----Hungerford, Texas!!

For the next year, Liz worked on the ranch with Coleman. More importantly, she also worked on her prerequisites for nursing school. She learned to bale hay, haul hay, pull a gooseneck trailer, work cattle, and really get to know and appreciate the cattle business. She thought it was rather interesting to see how a little bit of estrogen does wonders for the ranch!!

In May 1998, Liz graduated from Wharton County Junior College nursing school and signed on with Gulf Coast Medical Center as a registered nurse. It was then that she found her true calling. She worked in the Intensive Care Unit for two and a half years and then transferred to the Emergency Room.

Being the little bookworm that she is, Liz went back to school and received her Bachelor's of Nursing Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in December 2001. She has now decided no more school, ever!!

She currently works full time at Gulf Coast Medical Center in the ER and also does a little moonlighting at other hospitals through an agency that one of her friends and co-worker started. She stays busy and on the road. She gets to use all of that energy in the ER and she loves to tell us all of the horror stories. Coleman, Regina, and John don't mind, they just wish she wouldn't tell them at the dinner table!!

If you can't find Liz at the hospital, she is probably out traveling with her wild and crazy girlfriends. They love going to Mexico and have just recently decided that Key West, Florida is a pretty cool place. Her favorite place used to be the mall, but Coleman embarrassed her when he told her that she needed to find another hobby besides shopping, so she started traveling at least twice a year on big trips!!

Yes, she still lives in Coleman and Regina's garage apartment. They keep asking when she's leaving, but she thinks it's kind of smart to sticking around. Besides, she swears Regina and Coleman got teary-eyed when she said she was leaving town last year!!

Liz provided the Locke family with the cutest and coolest four-legged companion, Mollie.

If you can catch her at home, Liz would love to visit, so give her a call or drop a line!!!
